International Youth Exchange Seminar

Today, the girls and I, plus our handsome Tze Han, attended the International Youth Exchange Seminar held in Holiday Villa.

The seminar kicked-off with a kick ass breakfast- Egg Frittata Casserole,Scrambled Eggs, Grits (with and without Cheese), Bacon Strips,Sausage Biscuits,Assorted Danishes and Muffins aka egg sandwiches and curry puff.

And NO we didn't change our uniforms, it's still our favourite dark blue shirt. It's just that white is in fashion now. ( long story)
We then got ourselves seated and ready to go. Chewing gum (check), back seats ( check), and lol they gave us sweets and preserved mandarin peels. I just find it so amusing.

But as usual, (Malaysians) it started late. So we got the chance to meet and cam whore with the President Of Rotary Pudu. Mr Robin is really funny.

And of course a picture with Sanjeev a Rotaract from Subang. Cool guy.

The seminar begin with a couple of opening speeches before session 1 started. Session 1 was a panel where the members of the floor could clear their heads and question.

We then had a break for lunch. And continued with...

Tze Han and Isaac during lunch.

This was a gift from an Exchange Student to one of the Rotarians for hosting her. We were encouraged to make/ bring native gifts for the families who were going to host us.
The card above is a coin collection (India) with a picture of her on the left.

Session 4 was really interesting as the rebounds from the long term and short term student exchange programme took the stand to share their experiences ( Brazil, Taiwan, South Korea, etc)
Rebounds : She went to Taiwan for a one year programme and spoke so well, I want to go to Taiwan now. no kiddin.

Inbound from France : Shared with us his experience in Malaysia

also siew's "boyfriend" *winks*

If Outbounds : Students from here in a foreign land
Inbounds : Foreign students in Malaysia
Rebound : Students back from their student exchange programme

"So what do you call a student who is out of money?"
Out-of-bounds.

HAHA! funny? no? haha... funny lar

Us with the other Interactors!

I had fun and because of the seminar I now have a better understanding of the youth exchange programme. And I hope you all had fun too!!

Love ya,
